City Receives Clean Audit; Appoints New Planning Commissioner
The independent audit gave Woodruff a clean, unmodified opinion, the best possible result, and reported a fund balance of about $12.5 million.
Woodruff's independent auditor presented a clean, unmodified opinion to City Council at its November 2024 meeting. That is the best result a municipality can receive. The audit found the city financially healthy, with a total fund balance of about $12.5 million, well above the three-month industry standard, and no compliance issues with its federal funds.
Council appointed Terry Leake to the Planning Commission, filling the seat of the late Rev. Stephen Brown. It also approved revisions to the Comprehensive Plan and passed first readings to rezone 58 acres at 6228 Highway 101 and to annex and zone about 15 acres at 2060 Old Orchard Road for industrial use.
