The Pack is Back!
Woodruff football opened fall practice for 2026 moving up to Class 2A, with a veteran quarterback, a retooled defense and state-title hopes.
Fall practice began July 31 for a Wolverines team competing in Class 2A after the league's 2026-28 realignment (The Woodruff Times gives a different year for the last 2A stint in its December 2025 realignment story). Head coach Brett Sloan returns most of a productive offense but has to rebuild a defense that graduated 10 starters.
The story previews the preseason schedule and the players stepping into new roles.
