New Bethel Baptist Church Welcomes New Pastor

New Bethel Baptist Church in Woodruff installed the Rev. Dr. Karras C. Cohen as its new pastor on Sunday, Aug. 30. Members, visiting pastors, family and friends gathered for the afternoon of worship.

The Rev. Dr. Patrick Suber, pastor of Foster Chapel Baptist Church and moderator of the Tyger River Baptist Association, gave the message. The Rev. Dr. James L. Hailstock of New Day Baptist Church led the laying on of hands and the presentation of installation. Other ministers presented a Bible, a hymnal, a wallet and the keys to the church, each a symbol of part of the pastor's work.
