Blades and Bristles Named Best Barbershop in the Upstate
Less than two years after opening, the Woodruff barbershop won Best Barbershop in the Upstate and plans a second location in Greer.
Blades and Bristles opened in the fall of 2024 and was named Best Barbershop in the Upstate in July 2026, after finishing in the final three in each of the two previous years. Owner Jonathan Murphy, a Woodruff native, credited his team and his customers.
The shop's motto is "Iron sharpens iron." It keeps a wall of information about hundreds of area businesses to help local men and owners connect. Murphy said a second location is planned in Greer, near Highway 101 and I-85.
