Tap Three Marks Five Years of Music, Community, and Growth in Downtown Woodruff
Five years in, the downtown venue has a distraction-free music room, breakfast service and plans to renovate the old movie theatre next door.
Tap Three turned five in 2026. Owner Ben Harrison, a working musician and Woodruff native, built it as a small stage venue that makes performing easier for artists. The name comes from its original plan for three draft taps. It now has six. The walls honor Woodruff natives who made their mark in music and sports.
The Tap Three extension is a performance room with no TVs, meant to keep all the attention on the stage. The restaurant also serves breakfast, run by the team from the former Friends Café. In a Q&A, Harrison said he is slowly renovating the old movie theatre building next door into a larger stage and kitchen for touring acts. He also said the business turned profitable in its second year and that most of the original staff are still there.
