School District to Host Public Open House for New High School

At its October 2025 meeting, the District 4 board heard plans for a November public open house and dedication at the new high school, plus a first reading of policy changes including livestreamed meetings.

The Woodruff Times reports that Superintendent Dr. Aaron Fulmer told the Spartanburg School District 4 board in October 2025 that the district would host a public open house at the new high school. The open house was expected in November and to include a dedication ceremony. The aim, he said, was to show the community what the bond funds built before the school opened the following fall.

The board's only business item was a first reading of annual policy updates, many driven by state law or the state education department. They included livestreaming of board meetings, a new employee sick leave bank, staff retirement, district fund balances and the use of lifesaving medications. The policies were set to return for final approval in November.

School reports included a canned-food drive at Woodruff Primary for the Woodruff Soup Kitchen, Fall Family Fun Night and free vision screenings. Woodruff Middle offered a PSAT practice session to help families plan ninth-grade courses, and Woodruff High inducted 59 students into the Beta Club. The full story is at The Woodruff Times.
