Woodruff School Board Approves Funds for Security Cameras, Landscaping

District Four trustees approved about $313,000 in state grant money for new security cameras, plus a landscaping contract for the new high school's athletic and band fields.

The Woodruff Times reported on October 14, 2026 on the October meeting of the Spartanburg County School District Four Board of Trustees. Here is our summary.

The board approved a little over $313,000 for surveillance equipment from Encore Technology Group. Superintendent Dr. Aaron Fulmer said the money comes from a state grant, not local district funds. The purchase replaces the district's existing camera servers and cameras and adds about 40 more cameras across its campuses.

Trustees also approved a contract of just over $34,000 with Harrison Landscape Management to care for the athletic and band fields at the new high school.

In other business, the board adopted new and updated policies to keep pace with state and federal requirements, and moved a half-day off from the end of the school year to December 18 to fit the high school's new block schedule. Before the business items, the district recognized 11 students who earned perfect scores on at least one section of the spring SC Ready tests, and a 10th grader honored in a county Law Day essay contest.
