BMW Hosts Manufacturing Careers Day for 900+ Students on Oct. 6
More than 900 middle and high school students are expected at BMW's Technical Training Center in Greer on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to explore careers in manufacturing.
The Woodruff Times reported on October 4, 2026 that BMW Manufacturing will host Manufacturing Careers Day 2026 at its Technical Training Center on S.C. Highway 101 in Greer. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, during National Manufacturing Month, and more than 900 middle and high school students are expected.
According to the paper, students will tour the facility, try hands-on activities and talk with people from more than 12 organizations, including BMW departments, suppliers, technical colleges and workforce agencies. Career paths on show include engineering, automation, robotics, logistics, skilled trades and business operations.
The article also notes that BMW's Spartanburg County plant is the company's largest in the world, with more than 11,000 associates, and that BMW Group has invested more than $14.8 billion in South Carolina since 1992. BMW's new high-voltage battery plant is here in Woodruff.
