The City of Woodruff Building Department issued 67 permits in April 2025, most of them for new residential construction, along with several commercial projects.

Homes: Most permits were for new residential construction in developing neighborhoods, including streets such as Lee's Corner Lane, Irish Vine Walk, Slades Street, Harben Drive and Snowmill Road. SK Builders, Inc. was named as a leading builder in the city's housing expansion.
Commercial: Permits listed included Smash Ink Design, Inc. at 114 N. Main Street, The Holler Boutique at 121 S. Main Street, Roebuck Buildings Co., Inc. at 517 Cross Anchor Road and Papa John's at 900 N. Main Street. A commercial roofing permit went to All Roofing Materials LLC on Medical Center Drive.
Other permits: Electrical permits were issued to Plug Power, Inc. and Anderson Power Services, and the report also lists roofing, mechanical and fire-safety work. One demolition permit covered a residential structure at 408 S. Main Street.
