Woodruff Building Permits Surge in May 2025

The City of Woodruff's Building Department issued 80 permits in May 2025, most of them for new homes and additions in growing neighborhoods.

The Woodruff Times reports that the City of Woodruff's Building Department issued 80 permits in May 2025.

According to the paper, most were residential: new homes and additions, especially along Lee's Corner Lane, Blaire Ridge Way, Wolverine Lane and Evaleigh Street, with more activity on Sunfire Street, Josephine Drive and Harben Drive. Several permits for clusters of new homes were issued on the same day, a sign of active subdivision building, and some builders filed for multiple addresses.

A few commercial permits were approved as well, including a fire permit on Cross Anchor Road and a building permit for 577 N. Main Street. The rest were trade permits for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and roofing work.

The paper said the numbers fit Woodruff's place among the fastest-growing communities in the Upstate. The full story is at The Woodruff Times.
