Planning Commission Sends Hwy 101 Industrial Rezoning, Duplex Rezoning and Snowmill Plan to Council
The Planning Commission approved I-2 heavy industrial zoning for 36.28 acres on Highway 101 at Arnold Branch Road, a rezoning at 162 Wofford Street to allow duplexes, and the final development plan for a Snowmill Road housing project, and forwarded all three to City Council.
The Woodruff Times reported on March 28, 2023 on three items approved by the Planning Commission and sent on to City Council.
First, the Commission approved I-2 heavy industrial zoning for 36.28 acres on Highway 101 at Arnold Branch Road. The property is slated for annexation, and the owner asked for the zoning for the future development of industrial projects on the site.
Second, a small parcel at 162 Wofford Street near Church Street was approved for rezoning from R-1 single-family to R-2A, which allows duplex development.
Third, the Commission approved the final development plan for a housing project on Snowmill Road.
All three items were forwarded to City Council for consideration. Planning Commission recommendations are advisory; Council makes the final decision.
