Fundraiser to Honor Rylie Sloan and Support Annual FCA Scholarship
The first annual Rylie K. Sloan FCA Scholarship Fundraiser was set for Sept. 13 at The Church at The Mill.
Coach Jim and Wanda Howard set up a yearly scholarship in honor of their granddaughter, Rylie K. Sloan. It is awarded through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Woodruff High School. The first annual fundraiser was set for Sunday, Sept. 13, at The Church at The Mill on Cross Anchor Road. It offered barbecue plates for donations and raffle drawings with prizes donated by local businesses.
Rylie was a member of the WHS Class of 2025. She lettered in track, cheered, took part in FCA and became a regional pole-vault champion. She died in 2022 along with her mother. All proceeds go to the Rylie Sloan Scholarship Fund. The original article has details on how to give.
