District 4 Prayer Walk on Aug. 2 Will Start at the New Woodruff High School

The annual Spartanburg District 4 Prayer Walk, when local churches pray for students and staff before the school year, is set for Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. and will begin with a tour of the new Woodruff High School led by Principal Christine Morris.

The Woodruff Times reported on June 28, 2026 that the annual Spartanburg District 4 Prayer Walk has been adjusted to include the new Woodruff High School.

When: Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

How it works: Part one is a tour of the new high school's first floor led by Principal Christine Morris, with group stops for prayer. Part two meets in the front parking lot of First Baptist Church of Woodruff, where participants split into teams to visit Woodruff Middle, Intermediate, Elementary and Primary Schools and the District Office.

Who: Churches across the district organize the walk to pray for students, teachers, staff and administrators before the year begins. Pastor Andrew Shull of First Baptist Church of Woodruff is the contact for more information.

All interested community members were invited to join.
