Woodruff's Own, Gigi LeFlair Brings Laughter to the National Stage
Woodruff native Khristle Floyd-Hughes, on stage as "Gigi LeFlair," has taken her Southern storytelling comedy on tour nationwide since 2021.
The Woodruff Times profiles Woodruff native Khristle Floyd-Hughes, who performs stand-up as "Gigi LeFlair." She began comedy professionally in 2021, and her act draws on a rural Southern upbringing: weekends with grandparents, the flea market, fish fries, RC Cola and Cheerwine.
According to the profile, social media let her reach an audience directly with skits, and a celebrity headliner recognizing her at a show convinced her to keep going. She has since shared stages with nationally known comedians and has toured as far as California. She credits small clubs for building her craft and her husband and family for making the road possible.
